Our purpose

Disrepair Solutions Group helps tenants experiencing potential housing repair problems understand what counts as disrepair, organise relevant information about what's happening, and — where appropriate — connect eligible cases with suitable legal professionals who can advise on their options.

We operate across England and Wales, where our service and authorised partner network permits. We do not cover Scotland or Northern Ireland. Whether you rent from a council or housing association, our role is the same: help you put together an accurate, factual record of the problem.

What we are — and aren't

Disrepair Solutions Group is not a law firm, solicitor, barrister, claims management company or legal representative. We do not provide legal advice, assess legal merits, represent tenants, issue legal claims, or negotiate compensation on anyone's behalf.

Our staff are not solicitors, and we do not describe them that way. Field representatives who speak with tenants are trained to record factual information — not to give legal advice, promise compensation, or guarantee any outcome.

How our field representatives work

Trained representatives may visit or speak with tenants to help document factual property conditions.

Their role includes

  • Speaking with tenants about the problem they're experiencing
  • Recording factual information about the property
  • Taking photographs, with permission
  • Taking videos, where appropriate and with permission
  • Recording property-condition information
  • Collecting supporting documents where appropriate
  • Submitting enquiries to the company

They will never

  • Give legal advice
  • Promise compensation
  • Guarantee a claim or outcome
  • Misrepresent themselves as council staff
  • Misrepresent themselves as solicitors
  • Pressure a tenant to proceed
  • Encourage false or exaggerated information
